Important Date Changes for the Primary

As you are probably aware, due to the current health crisis, the Pennsylvania primary will now take place on JUNE 2.  Even with the change of date we are encouraging anyone who is in a elevated risk group for Covid-19 to opt to vote by mail. The quickest and easiest way to do this is to apply online at votespa.com. You will need your license number to apply, so grab your drivers license before you get started. If you prefer to mail in a paper application, you can print one out here for mail in ballots or click here for absentee ballots and mail it to:

The change in the date of the primary election has resulted in the change of deadlines for registration and mail-in/absentee ballot requests. The new voter registration deadline is May 18, applications for absentee and mail in ballots must now be received by May 26. Even with this change in deadline, if you plan to vote by mail we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Once you have applied for a mail in or absentee ballot you can check the status of your application by clicking here. Please note that for the primary election once you have applied for a mail in ballot you are committed to voting by mail. If you change your mind, you will only be able to vote by provisional ballot in the primary election.

Many voters, especially those away at college, applied for a mail-in ballot before the pandemic changed their living circumstances. If you or someone you know applied for a mail in or absentee ballot and are now at a new address you can request to have a ballot sent to their new address. The form to make that request can be found here. Print the form, fill it out and email it to voters@montcopa.org OR mail it to voter services.
