Turn GA Blue

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s victory in the Presidential election was a win for decency, and also the culmination of hundreds of thousands of hours of volunteer work. Hundreds of those hours were put in by Democrats in Lower Merion and Narberth who worked tirelessly to turn PA Blue. Georgians have a unique opportunity on January 5 to win not one, but two Senate seats and reclaim the Senate for Democrats. We have received numerous inquiries about how we can best support the Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock campaigns. We cannot stress enough how important it is to follow the lead of the organizers and Democratic Committees in GA. They know their constituency best and have already been incredibly successful in their efforts to turn Georgia blue. We also must be mindful of the fact that the GOP is already campaigning on the claim that “outsiders” are trying to exert their influence on the election in Georgia. We absolutely support and encourage you to become involved in the election.  Members of the committee who helped coordinate our volunteer efforts in the general election have identified several ways we can effectively support the people of GA and the Warnock and Osoff campaigns. Look below and choose the method that appeals to you!

The campaigns, understandably, depleted their funds running for the general election. The GOP and PACs are already funneling millions of dollars into Georgia to try and maintain control of the Senate. If you are in a position to donate, please consider making a donation to one of the campaigns directly, or one of the organizations that helped turn GA blue in the presidential election such as Stacey Abrams Fair Fight. Phone and Text Banks

As always, and particularly during a pandemic, phone and text banking is one of the most effective tools we have.

  • Rev. Raphael Warnock: To sign up to text or phone bank for Rev. Warnock please click here.

  • Jon Ossoff: To sign up to phone bank for Jon Ossoff please click here.

Postcards

Post-carding is always very popular, and we are working on ways to make it effective in these run-off races. Right now, activists and organizers on the ground in GA welcome our help in these efforts. They ask, however, if we choose to write postcards that we do not mail them directly from PA. Instead, they request that we bundle and send completed cards in a package to GA. There, volunteers will then mail the completed cards locally to ensure the individual postcards have a local, GA postmark.

  • If you wish to participate in post-carding with DCLMN, you can contact Ashley Best-Raiten, Jim Remsen, and Rachael Chou. They are all working on putting together a project that will include helping package completed cards to send out to targeted communities in GA.

  • Want to start now? You can order your own cards through the GA Postcard Project at gapostcard.org

If you are looking for even more ways to support the Georgia Senate races, you can find a comprehensive list here.
